As I looked at Jake busily tinkering the stethoscope and BP monitor in my Mom-in-law's bedroom, I couldn't help but wonder if what I was seeing was his early inclination to medical practice. Hmm...
* President Arroyo is firm on wage hike within 30 days.
* Job fairs were held all over.
* Livelihood workshops were conducted at job fair sites
to compensate for lack of jobs.
* Employers say jobs are not lacking, the problem is most
jobseekers are not fit for the open positions.
I guess that says so much about the state of unemployment in the country, huh.
Because Jake has survived a near death experience, I think he owes it to modern medicine for what he is today. It is just proper that he pays forward, devotes his whole life becoming a good doctor and helping others especially kids to live a healthful life and be a useful citizen as ever!.
Job fairs? They are nothing but good excuses of would-be-employers who are GMA supporters. They dangle a number of available jobs for everyone but there are no takers because not too many are qualified. Sa madaling usapan--Lokohan lang yan! Or if you have nothing to give, just fake it, so to speak.

HI PAPARAZZI!
We have always encouraged the boys to pursue their interests, be it academic or otherwise - Matt, his basketball and inclination to sports, and Kyle, his art. If Jake is into becoming a physician someday then he will be guided in that direction. I guess it's just too early to tell. Hehehe...
About the job fairs, it's a pity that there are very few matches between jobseekers and available jobs. However, I commend the government's efforts in conducting livelihood workshops to encourage the unemployed to try their luck in engaging in micro ventures. At least, baka makatulong din.

Dr. Jake is so cute. I agree with Jake's lolorazzi, he survived both from the medical breakthrough to sustain a 2.8 lb baby despite the lack of water, but more so, a miracle for being able to double his size in a months time. It wont be a surprise if his inclination is into this field. Sige lang...suportuhan ko ikaw.

on rock climbing --
Linnor,
I go to the Power Plant Mall at Rockwell. At Basement 3 of the parking lot, theres rock climbing walls there, open air pa
You can also go to San Agustin (meaning the school in Dasma, Makati) they also have a wall there thats open to the public.
There are several others in the Northern Area of Metro Manila and one in Roxas Blvd at the Pearl Plaza Mall.
p.s. well, without a doubt that handsome Jake of yours looks a lot like you but i'm sure he has his papa's charms too

HI NOTSQUARE!
Fascinating. You really seem to be into rock climbing. I would love to try that one of these days when we get to Manila. I don't know if we have walls for rock climbing here in Cebu or I'm just not aware of it. Thanks for the info and the compliments as well!

HI MIMI!
I'll check that rock-climbing wall, one of these days. Type mo na subukan natin? With my fear of heights, that would be one for Fear Factor.
